Statistically, the Miami Marlins are unstoppable in the postseason. They’ve made the playoffs twice, riding wild cards to World Series victories on both occasions. Now, with just one month left in the regular season, the Marlins hope to do it again. But the Atlanta Braves, who are in town for a three-game series beginning at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Marlins Park (501 Marlins Way, Miami), are hoping to stop them. The Fish are only one year removed from their second-worst season in franchise history. “We’ve definitely done better than anyone thought we would do [this year],” Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton recently said in an interview with Yahoo Sports. “At the same time, we’re still not where we need to be to keep playing beyond the designed schedule… We’re definitely in a positive direction. But we have a month to go to make the playoffs.” Catch the Fish and the Braves this weekend. Tickets costs $15 to $245 via ticketmaster.com.
