Street-fighting legend Kimbo Slice takes to the ring tonight!
Published on February 14, 2008
Kimbo Slice is an absolute bad-ass. If you need proof, search his name on YouTube and watch a bevy of videos of him pummeling some random dudes face into creamed corn. Most men dare not even imagine stepping into one of those bare-knuckle bouts with Slice. There are several reasons: Mainly, even the most macho of dudes have no desire to find out what their own teeth taste like when forcibly swallowed. Also, most would-be contenders are likely fond of their brain and would not want it dislodged or moved around in their skull in any way. Not wanting to shit ones pants is probably in there somewhere as well.
Tonight the underground fighting sensation takes to the ring in his heavily anticipated MMA cage-fighting matchup with David Tank Abbott at the EliteXC. After defeating Ray Mercer last year, Slice expressed in a postbout interview his desire to fight the equally bad-ass Tank Abbott. Abbott, who was sitting ringside, loudly accepted and then suggested the two men take it to the parking lot right then and there. Needless to say (but well say it anyway), tonight it is so on. See two titans clash at 7:30 in the BankUnited Center. Tickets range from $35 to $700. Visit www.ticketmaster.com or www.elitexc.com.
