The Miami Gay Men’s Chorus bring the fa-la-la.
Published on December 13, 2007
Tonight is the last night to catch the Miami Gay Men's Chorus in its holiday extravaganza, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, at the Colony Theater. The performance includes renditions of traditional show tunes and contemporary favorites, as well as slightly naughty versions of popular standards. Perhaps they'll bring a hot guy onto the stage and sing about him sliding down your chimney. Ho ho ho, indeed.
But whatever you do, don't confuse this group with the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus. They're totally separate! And they don't like each other! Something happened between them and now there's all this drama. The gays are very territorial about their singing, you know. All it takes is one tenor to wander into the wrong hood and everyone gets all West Side Story on you. But the MGMC promises this performance will be completely violence-free -- no inter-chorus rumbles, just the occasional gay diva tantrum backstage.
